Job Description

Due to expansion this highly successful department seeks to recruit another solicitor with experience of defending a variety of regulatory matters, particularly health and safety prosecutions.

The team is highly rated by the Legal 500, Chris Morrison "has built up a substantial regulatory and environment practice since joining the firm in 2005". The department has nine fee earners and they are looking to grow due to the volume of instructions they are receiving from an enviable client portfolio including some of the biggest corporate clients across various sectors including retail, construction and nuclear. They are currently involved in some of the major cases in the country.

Ideally you will have worked at or will currently be working at one of the big commercial firms in the regions or a firm in the City and have substantial regulatory crime experience. Ideally your experience will include HSE, Trading Standards, food safety, Environmental, transport or other similar regulatory prosecutions.

Halliwells seek someone with between 18 months and 5 years PQE to join what has been described as a truly supportive and ambitious team seeking like-minded individuals who can help make it the leading regulatory department in the North.
