Job Description
Our client is one of the leading providers of legal advice to the Healthcare sector in the UK. They are currently looking to expand their Healthcare Litigation Team by recruiting an additional solicitor to join the department based in Birmingham.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of 19 lawyers headed up by a partner who is widely regarded as a leader in the field. You will be responsible for dealing with a wide range of patient matter and public law work and a solid understanding of the Mental Health Act will put you at a distinct advantage. More specifically, the team deal with issues relating to; consent, confidentiality, public interest immunity, complaints, mental capacity, inquests, judicial reviews, best interests and continuing care.
It is also important that you have very strong wider litigation skills relating to negotiation, research, advocacy and empathy. The role will also involve supervision and it is important that you can demonstrate experience of this.
