This well regarded Legal 500 practice in Manchester has a leading reputation for their personal injury and clinical negligence work.
They have created a new opportunity for a Law Costs Draftsperson/Solicitor to join their Costs Management Team in Manchester. The role will involve the following:-
Dealing with solicitors files across a range of disciplines (for example claimant personal injury, clinical negligence, industrial disease) and prepare costs claims for submission to opposing solicitors or the courts.
You may be required to undertake negotiations and possibly have some involvement with advocacy.
Applicants should be committed and hard working individuals who enjoy operating in a pressurised and highly motivated team environment.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative with the minimum of supervision.
You will have a flexible approach making you able to respond to rapid changes in working schedules and priorities.
For this you will need to be organised and able to communicate clearly with people at all levels.
Ideally you will be educated to degree standard and possess experience working either in house or for an external supplier of costs drafting services.
You will either be fully or part qualified ACLD. They are also very interested to hear from Law Costs Draftspersons who are also qualified Solicitors
The role involves the use of IT systems and therefore computer literacy is essential. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes would be advantageous.
