Job Description

Molson Coors is the UK's second largest brewer and the European subsidiary of Molson Coors - the global family brewer. We boast Europe's largest brewery and brew some 7 million barrels of beer a year. Available in over 30 countries, our brands include Carling, Grolsch, Coors Light and Worthington's, all of which are brewed by our exceptional people in locations throughout the UK.

To support our growth we now have two opportunities for highly motivated lawyers to be based at our Head Office in Burton upon Trent.

So what do Lawyers do in a brewery? They affect everything. From sales contracts to sponsorship agreements, global procurement initiatives to television advertising, our work is varied and challenging.

We are a dynamic and ambitious global brewer, and are looking for lawyers to join our fast paced UK legal team who have the drive, ambition and capability to really make a difference in our business. Our legal team is involved in all aspects of the business and plays a key role in promoting the manufacture, marketing and sale of some of the UK's leading beer brands.

Senior Legal Counsel (7 Years PQE +)

Reporting directly to the UK Legal Director and Company Secretary you will be responsible for providing legal support to our marketing function and also to one of our key sales divisions. We are looking for someone with strong commercial contracts expertise combined with competition law experience. Your work will include advising on the following areas;
* Our brands, including Carling, Coors Light, Grolsch, and Cobra
* New product development
* Major sponsorship agreements (such as the Carling Cup, the Leeds and Reading Festivals)
* TV advertising and a wide variety of other promotional activities, including digital media
* Competition law compliance
* Contracts with major supermarkets, grocers and off licences

We are looking for qualified lawyers with relevant experience gained from a leading private practice law firm or another high profile organisation. This will need to be combined with strong influencing and decision making skills Add to that excellent relationship building skills and the ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex legal information, and you could be just who we are looking for.
