Healthcare Litigation Solicitor. - inquests

BCL Legal have been instructed on a healthcare litigation role for a top tier firm in Birmingham. A 2 years PQE healthcare litigation solicitor is sought to undertake a wide range of health care law work to include mental health, list management hearings, suspensions, patient matters, public law work, judicial reviews and litigation advice.

At this firm you will work alongside two partners dealing with a wide range of patient matter and public law work. You will undertake a broad range of work to include issues such as, mental capacity act and best interests, inquests, public interest, continuing care, judicial reviews and mental health. You will also assist the commercial team advising NHS and private health providers on a wide range of commercial, governance, medico-legal issues and contractual issues.

Advocacy expertise is essential and a solid working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 will be a particular advantage.

Ideally you will be a newly qualified solicitor with a training seat or past experience in healthcare, clinical negligence, court of protection/mental health work however if you have public law experience which includes judicial reviews and child law you are encouraged to apply.
