Senior Restructuring Solicitor Leeds

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a top tier restructuring team in Leeds at a senior level, with excellent partnership prospects for the right lawyer with a solid business case.

This top tier international firm has an enviable reputation for the quality of its client base and the work it offers to lawyers across all legal disciplines, and its restructuring profile is no exception. As with all its practice areas, the firm prides itself on generating genuine local high quality work, as well as being a preferred firm on all panels for major national and international work.

Anyone who works in this practice area knows that the restructuring landscape is undergoing significant changes, with bank-led work diminishing and teams positioning themselves to enter new markets. This team is already undergoing considerable generational change and repositioning in the marketplace, ahead of many of its direct competitors, with a strong focus on driving the corporate side of the business, delivering genuine complex board advisory expertise across a number of areas including schemes of arrangement and equity swaps, and financial & strategic group restructuring projects by way of turnaround.

The team is now looking to recruit an experienced insolvency & restructuring solicitor at managing/principal associate level. The successful applicant will be the only lawyer in the team at this level and with the right attributes and business case, will be next in line for partnership within this team.

Strong academics and excellent broad-based corporate restructuring and insolvency expertise will be a given but the team is looking for the successful applicant to add further value to the strength & depth of expertise in this team, either by way of significant banking & finance experience, significant corporate board advisory experience or genuine sector expertise which is transferable to the firm. An existing market reputation would be anticipated at this level.

Strong consideration will be given to candidates who fulfil these criteria at around 9 years' PQE or above from a commensurate practice, or indeed to partners in regional firms who have something different to offer, and who want to join a major international firm.
