Rolls-Royce is a global provider of highly-efficient integrated power and propulsion solutions. Our power systems are used in aerospace, marine, and land applications. Our vision is to create better power for a changing world. We are one of the world's leading producers of aero engines for large civil aircraft and corporate jets. We are the second largest provider of defence aero engines in the world. We have a growing presence in civil nuclear power, drawing on our skills and experience of over 50 years in powering nuclear submarines. Our MTU brand is world-renowned in high-speed diesel engines powering applications as diverse as rail locomotives and luxury yachts.

Rolls-Royce has customers in more than 120 countries comprising more than 380 airlines and leasing customers, 160 armed forces, 4,000 marine customers, including 70 navies, and 1,600 energy and nuclear customers. Rolls-Royce employs over 55,000 people in 45 countries.

A new opportunity has been created within the Global Legal Function for an able and enthusiastic legal counsel to join the Central Litigation and Investigations team. This team has responsibility for the management and oversight of all litigation and dispute resolution in Rolls-Royce, together with reporting to the main board of Rolls-Royce PLC about litigation and disputes, and conducting and managing litigation and disputes wherever appropriate.

This is an extremely varied and client facing role that will involve you working across all litigation and dispute areas as well as touching almost all aspects of the Rolls-Royce business. You will have an opportunity to add value from the outset of a dispute. If early resolution is not possible, you will support the management of the dispute to its conclusion in formal legal proceedings. To be successful in this role you will be required to develop an enhanced understanding of the nature of the sectors in which the dispute arises and the risk appetite of the impacted business area. In addition you will also have conduct of and/or support internal investigations, working with other key central functions and local support wherever necessary.

We are looking for a qualified lawyer with c.3-6 years' PQE in commercial litigation, however, we are happy to consider applicants who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.

Experience and enthusiasm within a commercially led environment is essential. Ideally you should have experience in advising on disputes and litigation within a large, complex commercial environment. Any experience of working in-house (including secondment experience), and/or investigations along with an understanding of anti-bribery corruption compliance risks would be beneficial.

In return, working at Rolls-Royce will provide you with incredibly interesting high level and diverse work that will offer long term career.
