A new opportunity has been created within the Global Legal Function for an able and enthusiastic legal counsel to join the Central Litigation and Investigations team. This team has responsibility for the management and oversight of all litigation and dispute resolution in Rolls-Royce, together with reporting to the main board of Rolls-Royce PLC about litigation and disputes, and conducting and managing litigation and disputes wherever appropriate.
This is an extremely varied and client facing role that will involve you working across all litigation and dispute areas as well as touching almost all aspects of the Rolls-Royce business. You will have an opportunity to add value from the outset of a dispute. If early resolution is not possible, you will support the management of the dispute to its conclusion in formal legal proceedings. To be successful in this role you will be required to develop an enhanced understanding of the nature of the sectors in which the dispute arises and the risk appetite of the impacted business area. In addition you will also have conduct of and/or support internal investigations, working with other key central functions and local support wherever necessary.
We are looking for a qualified lawyer with c.3-6 years' PQE in commercial litigation, however, we are happy to consider applicants who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
Experience and enthusiasm within a commercially led environment is essential. Ideally you should have experience in advising on disputes and litigation within a large, complex commercial environment. Any experience of working in-house (including secondment experience), and/or investigations along with an understanding of anti-bribery corruption compliance risks would be beneficial.
