Description

This international insurance law firm are looking to bring a Marine Insurance/Shipping Litigation solicitor in to their London-based team. This is a business critical role and all applications will be responded to quickly.

Working closely with marine insurance experts in the field on a number of marine insurance coverage disputes, you will be able to assist with a complex and challenging caseload.

In this role you can expect to work for clients that include Lloyd's syndicates, London market and international insurance and reinsurance companies, shipowners, charterers, ports and terminal operators, freight forwarders, marine service providers, commodity traders. The type of cases will be wide in variety and cover all classes of marine and political risks; wet and dry shipping disputes; insurance policy and commercial contract drafting.

Applications are invited from UK qualified solicitors (ideally 2PQE but junior candidates will also be considered) with a background in shipping law. Applicants who have the relevant experience but are not UK qualified are also encouraged to apply. Ideally, you will have some experience of handling/assisting with marine insurance coverage disputes although this is not essential.
