Description

Public Sector Solicitor

This top 20 UK national firm has a thriving public sector practice and is now looking for a junior solicitor to join the team in Leeds.

The public sector team is wide in remit, dealing with work for local government, healthcare, charity, social enterprise and education clients, including over one hundred local authorities, police authorities, education & healthcare providers, Local Enterprise Partnership and many central government agencies.

They advise on a whole raft of matters including joint ventures, collaborations, PPP projects (including innovative new delivery methods), regeneration projects, outsourcing and procurement and general commercial contracts.

The ideal person for the role will be a newly qualified or junior solicitor up to around four years' PQE, who has a solid grounding in commercial work, preferably with a public sector element. You may have trained with another large or niche commercial firm, or in-house within the public sector.

This firm is well known for its well-resourced training and development, and the team has a supportive and collegiate working environment. The clients are rewarding to work for and the team works very well together to achieve its client service aims. Lone wolves would not fit in here!
