Manchester based BCL Legal – one of the leading legal recruitment consultancies outside London which has also has offices in Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol and Reading – is building on its recent growth with the appointments of two new members of staff to its North West team.
The first new starter is Mary Nowell who has re-joined the firm after previously working at BCL Legal until 2010. Her role as a senior associate will see her focus on permanent recruitment into the private practice sector. She has worked in recruitment for seven years; three of which have been with BCL Legal. Mary graduated from Nottingham Trent University with an LLB in 2005.
Mary is joined by Nicola Rimmer who has been appointed as a candidate manager. Her primary focus will be on finding Insurance candidates of all levels for law firms operating in the North West region. She has worked in the recruitment sector for five years and her last position was at Douglas Scott.
Last month, BCL Legal announced that it had placed a total of 430 legal professionals last year across its network which equated to a rise of 18% on 2010.
Mary commented; “My decision to return was an easy one. I’ve worked in recruitment for many years but no other firm really matches up to BCL Legal in terms of professionalism and focus. This new role is an exciting step change in my career and it’s great to be back.”
James Batt – director of BCL Legal – added; “The arrival of Mary and Nicola is great news for the team, especially after such a good year in 2011. I’m pleased to say that 2012 is looking as strong – if not stronger. We will continue to invest in our people to ensure our clients and candidates receive a fantastic service.”
