BCL Legal has secured a major and exclusive contract with PCC – the worldwide manufacturer of complex metal components and products primarily for the aerospace and power markets – to recruit a new European Counsel. The contract has just begun and the BCL Legal team is now working to find the right person for this high profile role which is based in the Midlands. This high profile role will require an element of travel within Europe and, on occasion, to the United States.
PCC has significant manufacturing operations in the UK and France with others in Belgium, Ireland, Italy and the Czech Republic. The European Counsel will report to the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary who is based in Portland, Oregon. The successful candidate will be responsible for heading up PCC’s legal function in Europe and will include working alongside the senior leadership teams of the manufacturing operations.
Core responsibilities will include – amongst other things – the delivery of legal services that are responsive and supportive of business objectives; drafting and negotiating high value complex commercial contracts; developing strong & trusted relationships with business partners; being the primary contact for applicable company secretary matters and other corporate affairs; as well as providing basic advice in areas of employment, health and safety, real estate, the environment, compliance and litigation.
