BCL Legal toasts 2011 success with firm trip to Barcelona

Following BCL Legal’s announcement earlier this year that it placed a record number of candidates in 2011, the firm last week took its workforce to Barcelona for a celebratory weekend. The business posted a 22% year on year rise in placed candidates and over the same period it also launched a number of new divisions and initiatives, including a high profile rebrand and the launch of a new website.

Over 30 employees – from across the firm’s network of offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Reading and Bristol – were taken on an all expenses paid trip to the city’s luxury W Hotel. A full itinerary including gourmet meals and club nights was organised by the firm’s senior team. This isn’t the first time such a trip been arranged – other destinations have included Marbella and Monaco.

Azara Roger – a consultant in the Yorkshire/ North East department – said; “2011 was a challenging year but we all pulled together and shared the same goal of growing the business despite the outlook. The trip to Barcelona was amazing and it’s got us fired up to make 2012 even better.”

BCL Legal was established in 2003 and specialises in the placement of lawyers at all levels from paralegal to partner within the private practice and in-house sectors on both a permanent and temporary basis.

James Batt, director of BCL Legal, said; “All of the senior management team know that the success of our organisation is based on the people we employ. We value our staff and the contributions they all make, so we wanted to reward them and Barcelona seemed like the ideal destination. James continued; We know times are tough so it’s vitally important we continue to thank and motivate our team for their efforts; from the office support juniors to the divisional heads.”
