  • DWF has made a number of recent promotions to director level, equivalent to partner at the firm. Martyn Kolankiewicz (corporate recovery), Matt Lynch (fraud litigation), Caroline Sanders (insurance) and Jon Hyde (professional services).
  • Shakespeare Martineau has recruited two new partners. Kim Walker will lead the firm’s commercial intellectual property team and David Vaughan joins the real estate litigation team.
  • Wedlake Bell has expanded its private wealth, corporate and employment practices with the recruitment of immigration partner Julia Jackson.
  • Penningtons Manches has appointed Francis Ho as a partner in the construction and infrastructure team.

  • Howard Kennedy has appointed senior associate Philip Vickery to its business and property tax team. He has more than 25 years’ experience as a tax solicitor, having held senior positions at Stephenson Harwood, Watson Farley & Williams and accountants Davisons Ltd.

  • Carpmaels & Ransford has expanded its patent litigation and life sciences practices with the appointment of four specialists, including two partners. David Wilson, a specialist patent litigator and life sciences and transactions specialist Jake Marshall. They have also welcomed Jennifer Antcliff and Sarah Johnson.
  • Hogan Lovells has appointed two new partners to its employment law team. Stefan Martin has experience in contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Also Paul Randall is set to join the firm shortly as co-head of the executive compensation and share incentives team.
