  • WBW Solicitors has appointed Ashley Bevans as an associate solicitor in the commercial property team.
  • Woollcombe Yonge has welcomed solicitor Michelle Pepper to its wills, probate and trusts department.
  • Trethowans has strengthened its agricultural and rural property team with the appointment of Grainne Alen-Buckley as a partner.

August

  • Laceys Solicitors has welcomed Jeremy Channon to their corporate and commercial department team. His experience includes advising on sales and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, restructures and corporate governance.
  • Gordon Lutton Solicitors has promoted wills and estates solicitor Tristan Lewis to associate.
  • Hughes Paddison has made three senior appointments; commercial property specialist, Richard Handley, Peter Jackson, a consultant solicitor in the private client department and Simon Hodges, an associate in the residential property team.
  • Safeena Holiday and Amy Leung have qualified as solicitors at Frettens. Holiday qualifies into the commercial property team and Leung into the family team.

  • Bond Dickinson has appointed Samantha Orluta as a legal director in its real estate team.
  • Ashfords has appointed Zoe Porter as a partner and head of the family team.
  • Lyons Davidson has made a number of appointments to partner/senior manager, including Joanna Laidlaw (clinical negligence) and Scott Taylor (civil litigation).
  • Coodes Solicitors has appointed four new partners: Sarah Cornish; Sarah Cowley; Melanie Grose; and Jo Morgan.

  • Bonallack & Bishop Solicitors has appointed William Parsons as client relationship manager.
  • Osborne Clarke has appointed Will Robertson as a partner in the commercial team. Robertson specialises in IT and data protection.
  • Stephens Scown has appointed partner Catherine Mathews as head of dispute resolution.
  • Sam Hickman, a specialist in family law and divorce, has joined Veale Wasbrough as a partner in the private client team.
  • Associate Sarah Thomson has joined Withy King’s residential property team.
  • Shipla Khanum has qualified into the company and commercial department at Meade King.
  • WSP Solicitors has welcomed conveyancing solicitor Lucy McCallum to the firm. It has also recruited Joseph Mullis to the firm’s head office, he joins as practice manager and has experience in HR and regulatory.

April

  • Burges Salmon has appointed five new partners with effect from 1st May 2016. Sally Jupp becomes a partner in the firm’s real estate team, Susannah Young and Alice Honeywill become partners in the firm’s pensions team. Simon Tilling becomes a partner in the firm’s projects department. The fifth new partner, Andrew Eaton, is an experienced financial services sector practitioner.
  • Davies & Partners in Bristol has expanded its land acquisition department with the appointment of two solicitors. Associate Richard Vann Jones acts for house builders, developers and landowners. Solicitor Emma Wyatt also joins the land department.
  • Coodes Solicitors has appointed solicitors Tamsin Mann to its commercial property team based in Falmouth.
  • Lanyon Bowdler has appointed Edward Burrell as a solicitor in the corporate and commercial team. Burrell, who qualified in 2010, has particular expertise in drafting and negotiating corporate transaction documentation.
  • Kitsons has recruited associate Corri Pedrick to its corporate team.
  • Plymouth law firm GA Solicitors has promoted two of its commercial solicitors to the position of associate. James Peterson has been with the firm for ten years having joined GA as a trainee in 2006. He specialising in corporate and commercial work. Tony Dupreez also completed his legal training at GA and re-joined the firm in 2013 as a commercial property specialist.

March

  • Harriet Murray-Jones will be head of energy and renewables and a commercial property partner at the new offices of Harrison Clark Rickerbys.
  • Kitsons Solicitors has appointed Matthew Bryant as a commercial property partner.
  • BPE Solicitors has appointed two new senior associates. Emma Payne is returning to BPE after an absence of ten years; she will join the corporate team. Zoë Reynolds will also join the commercial team.
  • Humphries Kirk has welcomed chartered legal executive Claire Kitchener to its commercial property team.
  • Foot Anstey has appointed Martin Hirst as a partner in the firm’s real estate group.
  • Stephens Scown has appointed partner Jim Gorrod.
  • Wilsons has appointed Frances Mayne as senior partner for a term of four years commencing on 1 March 2016.

  • Coodes Solicitors has appointed corporate lawyer Gareth White to the firm’s commercial disputes team.

  • Tozers has promoted Amy Cater to partner in the firm’s commercial property team. She specialises in planning and licensing work.
  • Clarke Willmott has appointed senior associate Kirill Kruchinin as a member of the corporate team.
  • Harrison Clark Rickerbys has appointed Annabel Hull as an associate solicitor in the commercial property team.
  • Trethowans has appointed partner Sarah Wheadon to lead its new health and safety and regulatory division
