Commercial & Projects Solicitor
A unique opportunity has arisen in the growing Leeds office of this national firm for an experienced commercial and projects solicitor to take up a key role in a small but growing team. The prospects for the role are second to none.
The firm has an excellent reputation for being a thoroughly pleasant place to work, with excellent quality work, a co-operative and collegiate way of working and no egos, which is borne out by their excellent retention rates and low turnover of staff.
This ever-popular national firm with a friendly and well-liked working culture, is a relatively new entrant to the Leeds marketplace, but has doubled in size in Leeds in the last year alone, by attracting some key hires from the local marketplace, and building up their teams.
The firm as a whole has a very well-established and strong top tier reputation for commercial and projects work, acting on behalf of a wide range of clients in the education, health, defence, housing, energy and waste sectors. The work in this team is diverse and challenging - from drafting and reviewing contracts for the procurement/supply of services, asset and staff transfer agreements, operating and maintenance agreements, contracting and sub-contracting arrangements, contract variations, joint ventures and commissioning contracts through to advice on PPI and PFI arrangements.
The team in Leeds is currently a small 1 partner team, but there is enormous potential for growth in the client base in Leeds and this team is earmarked for substantial growth over the next few years. It is well resourced and supported by the firm as a whole so there is huge potential for progression within the team as it grows. This role offers a genuine opportunity to help create, build and influence the strategy and direction of an important strand of the firm's business from a strong platform of loyal clients.
If you are an experienced commercial and projects lawyer from private practice, local or central government or commerce & industry looking to take up a key role and progress your career in a collaborative working environment, this could be the role for you.
Along with high quality and varied work, a very competitive market rate package, sensible billable hours target and achievable transparent bonus structure are also on offer.
