Employment Solicitor

We are delighted to be working again with this very well regarded and well liked national firm operating in the health and social care sector, who are looking to recruit a junior employment lawyer to join their expanding team in Leeds.

With offices across the UK, this firm has a solid reputation for high quality work and a strong sector focus. They act on behalf of all forms of NHS provider and commissioner organisations, the Department of Health, the NHSLA, regulatory bodies, charities, independent healthcare providers, housing associations, medical malpractice insurers and defence organisations.

The Leeds office is relatively new, but growing fairly quickly and is extremely well-resourced to grow further over the next few years. They're a really nice bunch of friendly and down-to-earth lawyers who have a real passion for the work that they do and the sector that they work in, and it shows in the way they work together. They have an excellent reputation in this area, with high rankings in Legal 500 and Chambers and is the highest ranked firm in the healthcare sector.

The employment team is the largest team in the office, which received a boost a couple of years ago with the hire of a small team from a market leading national competitor and has gone from strength to strength since then.

Due to further increases in instructions, they are now looking to recruit a newly qualified to two years' qualified employment solicitor to join their highly regarded team. Applications from strong September qualifiers are welcomed.

The role will involve working on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters including general employment advisory work, the handling of employment tribunal claims, whistleblowing, high profile cases, advising on reorganisation and redundancy issues and the application of healthcare legislation to routine employment law scenarios.

The Leeds team has grown significantly in the last two years and plans continued strategic expansion. Whilst previous experience in the field of healthcare or public sector is very much preferred, it is not essential, but you will need a strong technical background in respondent-based employment work and sold academics.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior employment lawyer looking for fantastic work with an interesting client base. You will have exposure to great work with the support of a wider national team with a strong platform to deliver.

If you're interested in this role, please apply now or forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us.
