The Hut Group is one of the world's largest online Health and Beauty retailers and brand owners, and one of the UK's fastest growing private companies. To support the business during its continued and sustained period rapid growth, we seek to recruit a c.NQ-2 years' PQE solicitor (commercial, corporate or commercial litigation) to join our dedicated in-house legal department in Northwich, Cheshire.
Built on a foundation of industry-leading technology, a world-class team and a scientific approach to building global brands, THG is fast becoming one of the world's most influential online retail organisations.
Part of the Northern Powerhouse near Manchester, we operate over 100 high-profit websites that sell premium, non-perishable FMCG direct to consumer. Our current portfolio includes the World's #1 online sports nutrition brand (Myprotein) and Europe's #1 online beauty retailer (Lookfantastic).
Having previously topped the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 list, we topped the 2014 and 2015 Profit Track 100 which ranks Britain's 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits. We are the first company to ever win this award in consecutive years.
As a result of our continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a junior solicitor to join our legal team in Northwich, Cheshire. As part of the team, you will principally focus on commercial work. This will involve drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements, dealing with IP and advising on data protection and compliance matters. In addition, you will gain exposure to areas such as mergers and acquisitions, real estate, litigation and employment law, with a growing emphasis on cross-border transactions (including in the USA, Australia and South East Asia).
We are looking for a solicitor with c.NQ-2 years' PQE. You must have gained appropriate commercial experience with a leading law firm or in-house legal team. In addition to strong advisory and drafting skills, you must have the ability to identify the commercial aspects of a legal problem and be able to communicate pragmatic solutions to help the business continue to its success.
This is a superb opportunity for a commercially trained lawyer from a commercial contracts, corporate or commercial litigation background to move in-house into one of the North-West's leading companies. If you have a passion for business and being involved in commercial decisions, on a domestic and international basis, then this is a genuinely excellent opportunity that must be considered.
