We are investing in our legal team with the recruitment of an additional commercial lawyer who will report in to our Group Legal Director and Company Secretary.

This is a superb opportunity for a lawyer with a strong commercial grounding, who is used to working at a fast pace and in a commercially driven manner, to step up their career in a high profile role.

Working as part of a team your key responsibilities will include:

· Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and agreements including:

o NDA/confidentiality agreements;
o LOIs and outsourcing agreements;
o Variation and novation agreements;
o General logistics agreements; and
o IT agreements (as customer and supplier)

· Identifying and mitigating legal risks whilst ensuring a pragmatic approach
· Providing the business with ad hoc legal advice as and when needed
· Drafting and maintaining legal precedents
· Supporting and advising Procurement on their standard agreements
· Identifying and mitigating legal risk and keeping abreast of regulatory and market developments that will impact the business
· Reviewing and drafting policies and procedures, e.g. concerning data protection, social media and anti-bribery
· Supporting the business with regulatory risk compliance, including GDPR compliance
· Supporting the business with TUPE advice
· Assisting the business with commercial dispute resolution
· Experience of engaging or managing external lawyers

We envisage that you will have c4-6 year's PQE ideally with in-house experience. You might be in an in-house role now looking for a step up or private practice and through secondment experience have recognised this is the route you would like your career to take.

· Desirable but not essential - experience of working in the logistics or services sectors or working with retailers
