Head of Legal

A Head of Legal opportunity has arisen within an international PE backed organisation based in Lancashire. Reporting to the UK General Counsel you will be responsible for supporting all of the business units and support departments comprising the UK group and management of a team of 3. The role will require involvement across a number of areas including general advice, commercial contracts, litigation, regulatory matters and corporate governance with a particular focus currently on ESG. Although this is not a Board position you will form part of the senior leadership team and, either from the beginning or with support, take part in Board meetings for the UK Group. The role would best suit a senior lawyer with at least 8 years PQE and experience advising senior managers. This could work for an existing Head of Legal looking for a well-backed business with an exciting plan for continued or a senior lawyer looking for a step up into a Head of position. Ideally you would have a background in commercial contracts but due to existing skills in the team lawyers from a commercial litigation background will also be considered. Some time in the office will be required so applications are invited from candidates who can travel to Lancashire on a hybrid basis.
