Procurement Lawyer - 4+PQE - leading international firm - Birmingham This is an exciting opportunity for a mid to senior level Solicitor (4-+ PQE) to join a leading international law firm in Birmingham focusing on procurement law matters (predominantly non-contentious). BCL Legal is excited to be working alongside this leading international firm in its recruitment of a 4+ PQE Solicitor to its Procurement team in Birmingham. The Role The successful Public Procurement Solicitor will: · Work on complex, headline-making deals for public sector, utility sector and private sector clients. Clients include Central Government departments and other major Government agencies, large local and regional authorities, national utilities across sectors including transport, energy and water, universities and charities, as well as private sector parties in their interaction with these bodies. · Work with colleagues across the UK and internationally. · Predominantly focus on non-contentious matters however exposure to complaints and challenge work can be offered. · Help to grow and shape the future of this team. About you The successful Public Procurement Solicitor will: · Be a qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE (no upper limit set). · Have experience working on public and utility procurement matters. · Have good networking and business development skills. · Have strong technical skills and academic ability. Experience of subsidy control/State aid and or public sector governance would be beneficial but not necessary.
