A national firm is looking for an experienced conveyancer to join their Birmingham based residential property department as a Supervisor in the Post-Completions Team.
THE ROLE
As a supervisor in the post-completions team, you will manage Post-Completions across the remortgage team with the option to develop the role across the residential team.
You will manage a small team to ensure timely registrations, SDLT payments and deal with any requisitions arising.
Your duties will consist of:
- Attend to the submission and payment of the Stamp Duty Land Tax after receiving files post-completion
- Dealing with the registration of the properties at the Land Registry, either electronically or manually through the DX system, of all applications for registration
- Dealing with any requisitions
- Dealing with any queries from clients following completion
- Dealing with any necessary notices that need to be given to any third parties such as landlords
- Keeping a strict diary of deadlines and timescales whilst in control of files
- Checking the registrations on their return from HM Land Registry
- Ensuring OS1 searches are maintained
- Sending copies of the deeds to customers on completion and when required
- Driving performance against relevant service standards
- Assisting with financial administration, liaising with the finance team, processing cheque requests and expenses, preparation and despatch of invoices and collecting payment
- General administrative duties
ABOUT YOU
- You will have at least 2 years of conveyancing experience
- You will have an in-depth understanding of post-completions matters
- You will have confidence with IT systems to include Microsoft Word and Excel
- You will be organised and capable of working well as part of a team to produce work of a high standard
- You will be able to demonstrate flexibility, initiative and confidence in own ability
- You will be highly enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile
