Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant - Nottinghamshire We have a fantastic opportunity at a local law firm in Nottingham offering a range of Conveyancing and Private Client services at their friendly, supportive office based community with opportunities for hybrid and remote working. Job Purpose and Overview The main purpose of this role is to work as a team with an experienced Legal Executive within the Residential Conveyancing team, assisting them to manage the caseloads they are responsible for. In this role you will be proactive in delivering an exceptional service to clients dealing with their sales and purchase transactions. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in assisting with Leasehold work. Training will be provided for the Leasehold work. You will have a keen eye for detail with an efficient, effective and positive manner. Key tasks and Accountabilities * Working in a team with a Legal Executive to support in all aspects of the day-to-day running of files * Responsibility for dealing with sale and purchase transactions from instruction through to completion * Undertaking Exchange of Contracts * Communicating with Clients, Agents, Brokers and Solicitors on a day-to-day basis * Providing updates and general advice * Working with an internal Case Management System and assisting clients to manage their case via a smartphone app * Dealing with post, emails and calls, ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times Person Specification * You will have 1 to 2 years' experience of working as a Legal Assistant in Conveyancing. You will be given the opportunity to further develop your legal career * Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to set own priorities for the day ahead * Strong common sense and logical approach to considering situations * Good time management skills to ensure deadlines and turnaround times are achieved * Good written and verbal communication skills * Ability to deal with difficult customers, previous customer service experience is desirable * Good telephone skills with a friendly and approachable manner, keen to generate an excellent first impression What's on offer?
