Our client is a leading international engineering company providing installation, servicing and technical advice to clients in a range of industry sectors. The company is an EPC / primary contractor and it is involved in a significant volume of complex and high-value contracts for the design, build and long-term maintenance of it's products.
Role - In-house Construction Solicitor:
To provide wide-ranging legal support to the group's commercial function with a view to ensuring that all bids are submitted on a contractually sound basis and that such final contracts accurately reflect the agreed commercial proposal. The role will involve supporting the new sales and proposals team, the projects delivery team and the service (operation and maintenance) teams.
Under the support and direction of the existing in-house lawyers, you will be responsible for the negotiation of relevant capital sales contracts for my clients business in the UK, Ireland, Africa and the USA. These contracts will often be based on a standard form of construction contract (MF/1, IChemE, JCT etc) with appropriate amendments to be negotiated.
About you:
Individuals applying for the position of In-house Construction Solicitor, should be England and Wales qualified solicitors with at least 4 years' non-contentious construction law experience. You will have a working knowledge of various standard forms of construction contract including MF/1, JCT, IChemE and FIDIC.
Location:
Our client is located in Merseyside and its offices are commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Preston and the surrounding areas of Lancashire and Cheshire.
Hybrid working is available, with most employees commuting into the office a 2-3 times per week.
