Role - In-house Commercial/IP Counsel:
Working as part of the UK and European Legal teams, as well as the European Intellectual Property team, you will have responsibility for drafting, reviewing, and interpreting a broad range of primarily non-contentious commercial and intellectual property (IP) matters.
Specific duties will include: protection of IP and R&D; reviewing and drafting collaboration, studentship, joint development and material transfer agreements; undertaking varied general commercial contractual matters; and providing a range of commercial advice and guidance to stakeholders. You will work on UK and European matters, and will interact with colleagues and clients across the globe.
This is a rare IP focused role in a company developing innovative new products and technologies. It is a superb opportunity for any commercial/IP solicitor seeking to develop their experience of IP in--house in industry.
About you:
The ideal candidate for In-house Commercial/IP Counsel will have at circa 4+ years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, and you will ideally have substantial knowledge of UK and EU patent, trademark, design, and copyright laws.

Working arrangements:
Based at UK office in Merseyside, commutable from Liverpool, Manchester, Preston and surrounds, my client offers both flexible and hybrid working.
You should expect to work two days per week in the office with the remainder from home. Applicants seeking full-time or part-time (3-4 days or equivalent) work are encouraged to apply as a reduced/flexible working week can be considered.

Our client has a stated budget of c. £60-70k per annum. The package includes a car subsidy, discretionary bonus (up to 20%), contributory pension (up to 8%), private healthcare and death in service cover.
