Our client is a global manufacturing company with revenue in the billions. It sells products into both consumer and commercial channels, and its products have a wide range of uses and applications.
The company has offices in Greater Manchester and manufacturing sites in Merseyside, Cheshire, Yorkshire, Europe and beyond. It is anticipated that the Interim Commercial Counsel will work some days from the Gt. Manchester sits and/or a manufacturing site, plus some time from home.
Role - Interim Commercial Counsel:
Reporting into the Lead Lawyer for the EMEA region, the Interim Commercial Counsel will assume responsibility for a handful of company business units in the UK, Europe and further afield.
The post-holder will enjoy a diverse workload of commercial legal work to include: supply and distribution matters, marketing and IP/R&D, competition law, corporate/M&A, regulatory and compliance, data protection and GDPR matters, claims and dispute resolution, plus any other matters.
The role is autonomous with a good level of responsibility and involvement in business decisions. The position is supported by other team members in the UK and abroad, including a junior counsel and paralegal.
You should be an experienced commercial solicitor with experience working in-house in industry. Manufacturing experience is particularly advantageous.
You must be available to start work from mid-November for a period of c. 12 months. This role requires you to work five days per week, albeit some days can be worked from home and/or other sites.
