Our client is an innovative, successful and well known manufacturing company. It is also a global leader in its industry.
Role - Interim IP Solicitor:
The company undertakes a large amount of R&D and to that end is seeking interim legal support to assist with a range of IP matters. This will include: joint development and collaboration agreements, licensing agreements, technical assistance agreements, NDAs, M&A support and other forms of IP work. The work is contractual and legal in nature and so does require a qualified solicitor/lawyer.
The Interim IP Solicitor will jointly report into the General Counsel and the Head of R&D. The post-holder will sit alongside the IP team - patent attorneys undertaking technical work - and will have interaction with the in-house legal team and wider business.
The office location is in Lancashire however the team is working from home at present. Our client would prefer someone who can travel to the office, once the Covid situation has improved, however the work could be undertaken remotely if required.
The Interim IP Solicitor role is likely to be 2-3-4 days depending on requirements, experience and cost. The contract length is c. 6-12 months and to start ASAP.
The successful candidate must be a Qualified Solicitor with sufficient post qualification experience of intellectual property law to assume responsibility for the company's contractual/legal IP matters. Experience of both hard and soft IP matters is preferred, as is experience of collaboration, joint venture and licensing agreements.
