Principal Associate - Private Client - Birmingham
A leading and highly regarded firm are looking for a Solicitor to join their Private Client team based in Birmingham. The firm has significant private client teams in each of its Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester and Norwich offices. Workload is varied and of high quality including all aspects of estate planning, wills, lasting powers of attorney, the formation, administration and restructuring of trusts, removal of executors and trustees, family investment companies and other onshore and offshore structures for UK tax planning, family and asset protection, together with succession planning in family businesses.
As the successful candidate you will advise on and draft wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and related documents. You will also undertake a broad inheritance tax advisory role, cover breach of trust claims and legacy disputes. You will be expected to participate in marketing and business development activities.

What experience is required?
You will be 8PQE+ with Private Client experience preferably gained with a large regional or City firm.
What skills and attributes will you need?
- Good academics ie 2.1 degree and good A levels (or equivalents)
- Excellent technical skills and written English
- Ability to build relationships with clients, potential clients and multipliers
- Negotiating skills
- Attention to detail
- Time and matter management skills
- Self-starting, with common sense and initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills
