Pensions Solicitor/Associate - Birmingham - 2PQE+
A new opportunity for a Pensions Solicitor/Associate has arisen at one of the UK Top 50 firms in Birmingham.
This pension position is a great opportunity for any lawyer looking to develop their expertise with all elements of pension law including auto-enrolment, equalisation, corporate sales/acquisitions, mergers and restructuring, dealing with the PPF, the Pension Ombudsman and the Pensions Regulator, as well as being willing to throw themselves into new technical areas. It is a fantastic team nationally with a great reputation and some of the most interesting work on the market.
Key elements of the role are as follows:
To advise on a full range of pension law issues and as well as drafting consolidating/definitive trust deeds and rules, deeds of amendment and all the usual deeds that are required in the running of an occupational pension scheme. Clients will be occupational pension schemes of many different shapes and sizes; defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid; large and small. They also act for a range of corporates in relation to their UK pension arrangements.
The Pensions Solicitor/Associate will need:
2PQE+ pensions experience from a reputable firm
Ability to juggle multiple clients simultaneously
Strong commercial firm background
Ability to supervise and sign off work
Organised and a team player
Confident in presenting and writing articles/literature
Working in a high performance team with an excellent reputation
Strong development opportunities, with clear route of progression
