Property Restructuring Solicitor | 2+ PQE | Big 6 Firm | Leeds A top tier, global heavyweight firm is seeking a Restructuring Solicitor to bolster their Property team in Leeds. This opportunity is offered full time on a permanent basis, with agile working options available. THE FIRM & TEAM This global firm have significant multinational credentials in real estate and are highly respected for delivering high-quality legal advice. They have one of the largest restructuring teams of any UK law firm, and their Property Restructuring Team works closely alongside them to continue to develop and expand our already impressive client base and offering. We act on complex, high value and multi-jurisdictional restructuring transactions often featuring household names, helping to secure value for stakeholders, save businesses and protect jobs. With real estate values underpinning lots of distressed businesses or secured debt in the market at the moment, now is a really exciting time to be further expanding our team. Our clients include major Real Estate Sector clients, major banking clients, international debt funds, the Big 4 accountancy firms, specialist restructuring practices, niche restructuring and accountancy firms and teams and other key stakeholders requiring property restructuring advice. THE OPPORTUNITY The successful candidate joining this friendly and dynamic team will encounter a broad range of energy and infrastructure property work, acting for a range of high-profile clients on large and nationally significant energy and infrastructure transactions. In particular the successful candidate will work on wind (on and offshore), solar, hydro and nuclear transactions in the energy sphere and road, rail and ports and other major infrastructure projects, acting for a mix of clients, including public authorities, developers, investors, funders and utility companies. Whilst the successful candidate will sit within the property energy and infrastructure team, you will have close links to our energy and infrastructure sectors. THE CANDIDATE - Relevant experience with a reputable firm. - Solid academic record - Strong interpersonal skills - Demonstrate a commercial mind and attention to detail The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a City firm or large regional practice. Preferably they will have some experience of working in the restructuring arena but of equally importance is having strong business focused technical skills across a range of property transactions especially with a focus on secured lending, real estate finance or corporate linked business and assets sales and acquisitions. Candidates must be technically excellent but must be able to demonstrate strong commercially awareness and an enthusiasm for business development and innovation. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach working and marketing alongside our real estate and restructuring teams. They will have a strong academic background and excellent communication skills.
