Planning Lawyer

Planning Lawyer (4-8 PQE) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Lawyer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm based in London. This firm has a strong national presence and is highly regarded for its work in the real estate sector, particularly in planning law, providing expert advice to a broad range of clients, including developers, investors, and public sector bodies. We are looking for a solicitor with 4-8 years PQE in planning law. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of advising on a variety of planning matters, including development projects, planning applications, appeals, and infrastructure work. Key Responsibilities: - Advising clients on all aspects of planning law, including planning applications, Section 106 agreements, and planning appeals. - Acting for developers, landowners, and public sector bodies on large-scale development and regeneration projects. - Assisting with the promotion of development schemes, handling infrastructure agreements, and navigating planning policy issues. - Advising on compulsory purchase orders, environmental law, and judicial review. - Managing client relationships and providing strategic legal advice on complex planning matters. Requirements: - 4-8 years of PQE in planning law. - Extensive experience advising on planning applications, appeals, and agreements. - Strong technical skills in planning law, with the ability to manage a broad and complex caseload. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a commercial mindset. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
