An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE to join a top-tier national law firm, in London. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in public procurement who is ready to work on high-impact projects that make a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on all aspects of public procurement law, including the drafting and negotiation of procurement documentation, tender processes, and contract management.
- Providing strategic advice to public sector clients, including central and local government bodies, healthcare providers, and housing associations, on complex procurement projects.
- Handling procurement challenges and disputes, including representing clients in proceedings before the courts and tribunals.
- Offering expert legal support on large-scale commercial contracts and public-private partnerships (PPP).
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering commercially focused solutions that meet client objectives.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years PQE as a Commercial Lawyer, with significant experience in public procurement law.
- Proven track record in advising public sector clients on procurement strategy, compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations and associated legislation.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the success of both the team and the firm.
