Corporate Governance Solicitor
An exciting opportunity for an experienced governance lawyer to join this national team's Southampton office.
Forming part of this national firm's corporate and commercial team, your work will be solely with the firm's social housing clients and will see you focusing on governance and regulatory matters. This national social housing team is one of the largest of its kind in the UK delivering services across England and Wales.
This role is a stand alone role and therefore you will be excited by the prospect of autonomy and the opportunity to progress to senior associate or partner level. You will need to be comfortable working on your own but with guidance from both the corporate and commercial team and the social housing team. This role will be particularly focused on advising on the following areas:
- Governance and Regulation of RP's (including regulatory compliance);
- Board member powers and responsibilities, advice on board representation and decision making processes;
- Charity Law and policy;
- Changes and interpretation of the Rules; and
- Advice on corporate governance structures.
You will have experience of working with registered social housing providers with a minimum of 5 years' PQE and demonstrate experience of advising in relation to governance and regulatory matters.
