Senior Projects Lawyer 6 + PQE - Leeds An established UK-Top 100 commercial firm is looking for a Senior Projects Lawyer to join their highly regarded team in Leeds. This is a specialist team who have advised on award-winning PPP and infrastructure projects. The firm has received several esteemed awards including 'Legal Firm of the Year' and continue to be recognised in all major legal directories. Renowned for their excellence across various fields, they are widely known as a leading firm nationally. This leading firm now seeks a Senior Lawyer with around 6+ years PQE to become an integral part of their dynamic and expanding team. The team is led by Partners who are ranked in the Legal 500 for their expertise in Energy, Project Finance and PFI. They advise on PPPs, PFIs, project finance, construction & engineering and commercial transactions across the following sectors: - Infrastructure - Net Zero, Energy and Renewables - Waste Resource Management and Energy from Waste As a part of this highly regarded team, you will: - Assist on the delivery of cutting-edge PFI/PPP projects, which includes offering guidance to procuring local authorities, bidders, sub-contractors and investors during the procurement phase - Give advice on contract management throughout the construction and operational phases of signed PFI/PPP projects, including complex contract variations, asset management, refinancing, changes in legislation and addressing expiry and handback matters - Advise on commercial contracts across the wider infrastructure and energy domains - Engage with clients and taking an early responsibility appropriate to your level - Undertake or attend negotiations and client meetings - Show a keen interest in business development In light of the team's ambitious goals and promising growth strategies, there are strong prospects of progression to Partner for candidates with a solid business case. Candidate requirements: - Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE - Private practice or in-house experience - Experience supervising junior members of the team - Strong technical skills and the ability to work through complex issues - A practical and commercial approach to legal issues - Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively On offer is a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
