NQ Banking & Corporate Solicitor - Leeds A highly regarded regional firm is looking for a newly qualified solicitor to join their Banking and Corporate team in Leeds. Clients within the firm range from individual entrepreneurs and small family businesses to some of the UK's most successful companies and well-known brands. The Banking team act for institutional lenders, private equity funds and corporate borrowers in all types of finance transactions, ranging from corporate and leveraged financings to asset-based lending (including invoice discounting), along with real estate and development finance. The team regularly assist the Corporate team in relation to the finance elements of their M&A and other transactions. The successful candidate will work predominantly within the Banking team, however they also have the opportunity to assist the Corporate team more generally from time to time, which makes this an excellent and unique opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor looking to develop their career. Main duties include: - Managing all client work allocated by the supervising partner in accordance with the firm's procedures and quality standards. - Providing advice and guidance to clients ensuring they are regularly informed of progress and costs. - Drafting appropriate legal documentation and ensuring transaction milestones are met within set time scales. - Meeting and maintaining personal billing and time recording targets. - Actively participating in business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a Banking team, however this is not essential where a strong Corporate background can be demonstrated. An excellent standard of client care is also essential to this role as the post-holder will be required to develop relationships with existing and potential clients.
