Construction Solicitor (Contentious) 1-8 PQE - Leeds
A UK-Top 50 firm are looking for a Contentious Construction Associate/Senior Associate to join their friendly and experienced team in Leeds. The team are in an exciting period of growth and will consider lawyers of all levels.

The national Construction and Engineering team are experts in their field, with a highly regarded team that are able to handle the largest and most complex disputes. The team work exclusively on construction, engineering and infrastructure projects, covering all aspects of the built environment including but not limited to infrastructure, commercial and residential buildings, retail, offices.
The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive team, assisting with a wide range of cases including work in the Adjudication and the TCC. Work will involve dealing with disputes arising on construction projects, to include negotiation and settlement or more formal dispute resolution procedures. There will be early exposure to some of the best-known names in the industry, acting for public and private sector employers, contractors, funds, consultants and sub-contractors. Experienced candidates will have the opportunity to manage their own caseload and assist the wider national team on more complex matters.
There are genuine opportunities for progression with the team and you will be encouraged to be involved in business development initiatives and client management.
Candidate requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 year experience within an established contentious construction team, although candidates with a mix of advisory and contentious work will be considered
- Experience of dealing with construction disputes i.e. litigation, mediation, arbitration or other forms of ADR
- Passion and enthusiasm for construction law
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional communication skills
- A strong commercial acumen
