Associate - International Commercial & Trade - City of London We are working with a highly regarded global law firm, one of the world's largest and leading legal practices. As a full service law firm they are equipped to provide complex legal solutions to a broad range of clients on a global level. The firm are now looking for an associate to join their International Trade team in London. The team: The International Trade team in London is part of the firm`s Global International Commercial and Trade which spans across 60+ offices. The team works across the full lifecycle of international trade law. They are experienced at advising on export controls, sanctions, customs, free trade agreements, anti-dumping, anti-bribery & corruption and foreign investment advice. The team is made up of 200 + commercial trade lawyers. The Opportunity: · Part of the Firms Global International Commercial and Trade group · Growing team, highly collaborative environment · Full range of work to include export controls, sanctions, customs, free trade agreements, foreign investment & anti-dumping · Excellent levels of client contact from day one · Opportunity for client secondments & the possibility for secondment`s in the firms oversea offices · Cross jurisdictional matters · Work with the industry's leading ranked commercial trade lawyers · Draft, review and advice on high value trade agreements About you: · Qualified Trade and / or Competition Lawyer with 2-5 years of experience · Looking to work on a cross jurisdictional basis · Keen to support clients with high value commercial trade matters · Private Practice and / or in-house experience with an emphasis of working on International trade matters · Ability to work with different cultures on a professional level · Agile ability to provide legal advice in line with the evolving nature of current international affairs · Strong sanctions knowledge · Understanding of the World Trade Organisation · Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills On Offer: · Global platform · Inclusive employer · A meritocratic environment, committed to professional and personal development Opportunity to grow to become an internal trade law subject matter expert BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
