Private Client Solicitor Join a leading Private Client firm in the UK About Our Client The client is ranked as a leading firm by the legal directories for Private Client work and has one of the largest teams in the regions. Role: Working with the Partners and fee earners within the Private Client department, key responsibilities will include: ·supporting fee earners working on a wide range of Private Client matters, ensuring all required documentation is in place ·managing own caseload, dealing with a variety of Private Client matters ·dealing with the administration of Trusts, including preparing annual trust accounts and corresponding with Trustees and Beneficiaries ·liaising with Stockbrokers in respect of Trust assets, making the appropriate distributions ·completing tax returns, including calculating the tax where necessary or liaising with accountants ·deal with the administration of Estates, whether under a Will or the rules of Intestacy ·meeting bereaved clients and Executors to take instructions and manage estate, and completing all stakeholder administration appropriately, ensuring all required documents are in place in a timely and accurate manner ·taking instructions and drafting Wills to meet specific requirements, and where appropriate, providing inheritance Tax advice ·meeting clients (in the office or at their homes) to take instructions and give advice on the making of Lasting Powers of Attorney ·completing tax returns on behalf of clients ·looking after a number of clients where Partners are appointed as Attorneys under Enduring Powers of Attorney and Court Orders, including: ·visiting clients in their own home or care home ·looking after not only financial needs but also personal needs ·on occasion, attending mental health assessments where doctors and other medical advisors are present registering Enduring Powers of Attorney at the Court of Protection/Office of the Public Guardian and where necessary, preparing and registering, Lasting Powers of Attorney ·dealing with complex issues that require research and discussions with other members of the Private Client department ·attending the STEP lectures, departmental meetings and all introducer meetings.
