Compliance Solicitor We have an opportunity for a Solicitor to join an industry-leading law firm and one of the largest providers of specialist debt Litigation services in the UK. This is an opportunity for a Legal Services and Compliance Solicitor, to establish a wide ranging and pivotal role, supporting various business functions. Very Flexible working available This thriving litigation team in Leeds is open to considering a Solicitor from a litigation background to include debt recovery/civil litigation looking for a new challenge. Key Responsibilities: Advising on contractual matters and be the main point of contact for the Group Legal Team Client engagement, including due diligence checks and conflicts of interests checks and resolution of conflicts identified Drafting and reviewing retainers with new clients and periodic reviews of retainers with existing clients, including responding to any associated client queries Arrangements with new suppliers and new outsource providers and the periodic review of those arrangements, including the agreements with Lowell shared services Due diligence checks on suppliers and outsource providers Provide advice and assistance to clients on general legal points, as needed, (examples being queries on the Consumer Credit Act and the statutory framework, jurisdictional points and regulatory issues Advising and providing guidance on possible remediation projects, undertaking any appropriate actions as necessary Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Qualified solicitor with a PC free of conditions, with at least 3 years of litigation experience Significant experience of both debt recovery litigation and the Consumer Credit Act Good understanding of the SRA's and/or FCA's regulatory requirements Broad understanding of GDPR obligations Broad understanding of AML obligations An exciting career is much more than just a salary.
