Senior Associate - Medical Negligence We are looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join our Medical Negligence and Personal Injury team in our Cambridge or Bishop's Stortford office.-HYBRID We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Medical Negligence team based in our Cambridge or Bishop's Stortford office. We are a top-tier Legal 500 Medical Negligence firm and as one of the longest-standing and most highly respected medical negligence practices in the East of England, we can provide the perfect environment for your next role. Working with the best independent medical experts we are committed to providing a knowledgeable, empathetic, and supportive service to our clients. We would like a collaborative and driven Senior Associate with that same commitment to join us. This role would also suit an Employed Barrister. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work on a varied and high quality caseload whilst also mentoring and supporting the junior members of the team. Our new team member will be looking to join a progressive firm that promotes opportunity, and strong relationships with clients and employees alike. Experience and confidence managing a full, varied and complex caseload of Medical Negligence work is essential for this role. Our new member will have a passion for delivering a high standard of service and thrive in an environment working with others to achieve the goals of both the team and the firm; motivating and inspiring colleagues to do the same. As a Senior Associate in our team, your role would include: Acting for Claimants in complex medical negligence cases and Inquests including highly sensitive and emotive cases. Advising clients of funding options; identifying and liaising with appropriate experts and Counsel; advising clients on merits and quantum; advising on procedure and alternative dispute resolution processes. Undertaking advocacy, when cost effective, at interlocutory stages. Working with high profile cases which may have a higher level of economic, political, or social impact or risk for the firm. Considering and identifying clients' needs, for example, access to rehabilitation, the need for financial advice, Wills, Powers of Attorneys, pre / post Nuptial agreements etc. and facilitating this, as appropriate. The role would be best suited to applicants of 5+ years PQE that are looking to independently run their own caseload as part of a close, dedicated and industry leading team. This position is being offered on a full time basis, although candidates with a preference for part time will still be considered.
