Commercial Insurance Solicitor We have an exciting opportunity for a commercial Insurance Solicitor to join a Global London Property Casualty team. This friendly and supportive team work across diverse service lines: Property, Construction, Energy, Engineering, Product Liability & Recall, International Casualty, Marine, and Aviation. The team is involved in complex, high value work and continues to play a leading role in Business Interruption claims relating to the Covid 19 pandemic. They are now seeking to grow our team with a new colleague assisting both on business interruption claims and also property damage claims more generally. Role Responsibility We are searching for a talented colleague with experience in policy coverage, property (first and third party losses, including subrogated recoveries), public and products liability (ideally with a focus on construction related claims) and a strong academic background, ideally in the 2 - 5 PQE range. Experience in policy coverage will be vital and you must be capable of analysing and applying legal principles to a complex factual scenario, with a view to achieving a commercial resolution for our clients. The Ideal Candidate A Solicitor/Associate of between 2-5 PQE. Good technical legal skills are essential for the role. Ability to manage a litigation caseload and/or supporting Partners and colleagues on larger complex cases. Good knowledge of procedural processes in England & Wales. Ability to analyse and apply legal principles and facts to derive technically sound, commercial strategies for complex cases. Show sound judgment in decision making, focused on client and case needs. Draft and review correspondence, reports and litigation documents. Demonstrate and develop a competent, high quality level of technical expertise. Good salary and very flexible working.
