Clinical Negligence Paralegal
A clinical negligence litigation executive (CILEX trainee or accredited or experienced career paralegal) position has arisen within a leading national clinical negligence department based in Cheshire.
The responsibilities of this role will consist of assisting senior lawyers with high value and complex clinical negligence and serious injury claims.
The role will also consist of developing and running a small caseload of lower value claims, which will be supervised by a senior lawyer.
What You will Need
Applications will be considered from litigation executives/career paralegals who have experience of working in a clinical negligence/serious injury department. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a real interest and commitment to clinical negligence work and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience/knowledge of the following aspects of running a clinical negligence claim:
· Funding arrangements
· Obtaining medical records
· Drafting witness statements
· Reviewing and drafting chronologies
· Instructing experts/counsel
· Reviewing expert evidence
· Drafting Letters of Claim
· Drafting Schedules of Loss and Damage
· Drafting Pleadings and applications.
