Senior Counsel - Ceva Logistics - Leicester (Hybrid)

The role Reporting into the Legal Director for UK/Ireland (who is a UK/Ireland Board Member), you will be given significant autonomy on matters such as: · Providing practical, commercial legal advice across the various Business Units; · Leading on the drafting and negotiation of high value commercial contracts with customers at local and global level for contract logistics and freight management (across all product lines and sectors) as well as procurement contracts with suppliers; · Leading on the advice given to the Business Development team on bids and tenders for new customer contracts; · Leading on GDPR/Data Privacy matters; · Sharing management responsibilities of a Junior Lawyer and experienced Paralegal; · Providing training to the business on legal matters; · Managing relationships with key stakeholders; and · Liaising with colleagues throughout Europe and internationally across the business, and managing external lawyers. The person The business moves at a fast pace and you will need to be proactive, flexible and resilient and experienced in managing stakeholders. The stakeholders will need your legal advice to be succinct, commercial, pragmatic and useable, so you will need to be able to balance legal risk with commercial reward.
