Legal Counsel - Mortgages,Savings, Mortgage Litigation

Our client is a well regarded West Midlands Financial Services organisation looking for a lawyer seeking a move in house, where they can advise on consumer Mortgage and Savings Products, and advise on mortgage litigation. Reporting into the Lead Counsel, you will be tasked with: advising on and existing customer mortgages and savings products terms and conditions, and the regulatory / FCA considerations around new financial 'product' launches, as well as dealing with litigation and complaints with the Financial Ombudsman Service, and general property queries. You will be reporting into the Lead Counsel and working in a small team, where you will be trusted with a good amount of autonomy, but a supportive environment with 2 more senior lawyers. This opportunity will be suitable for a lawyer currently working in private practice, who has experience advising banks / building societies on mortgage litigation, or if you advise banking clients on mortgage or savings products. If you are already working in house in financial services, but interested in working for a larger organisation, where you will truly be involved in advising the business at the sharp end, then this offers that.
