Planning Lawyer BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a top-tier international law firm in recruiting a Planning Lawyer to join their highly regarded Planning team in Bristol. This team offers exposure to exceptional quality work, including some of the UK's most complex and innovative urban regeneration projects, as well as mixed-use, residential, retail, and private rented sector developments. The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis (four days per week), with flexible and agile working options to suit your needs. Due to the growth in the firms work, as well as the variety and complexity of the projects the team are working on, this role needs strong experience in planning, infrastructure and environmental work as well as a genuine enthusiasm to develop with a great team. The Role As a Planning Lawyer in this dynamic team, you will: - Handle a diverse portfolio of contentious and non-contentious planning matters across sectors such as environmental waste, retail, investment, energy, and major infrastructure projects - Act for a broad spectrum of clients, including commercial and residential developers, investors, retail and leisure operators, social housing bodies, major corporate occupiers, banks, and various public sector entities - Engage in matters such as highways, compulsory purchase orders, Section 106 agreements, judicial reviews, footpath/highway closures, infrastructure agreements, and village green issues About You To be successful in your application for this Planning Lawyer position, you will have: - A legal qualification with 2 + years post admission experience gained within a planning team - Knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 - Experience of planning agreements - Experience of highway agreements - Ability to handle inquiries/examinations and judicial reviews relating to planning matters - Knowledge and experience of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) The Offering As part of this offering you will benefit from: - A highly competitive salary and an attractive benefits package - An unrivalled opportunity to work on a wide range of premium level planning work outside of the City - A flexible, supportive, and inclusive working environment - Excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression Apply Now!
