Childcare Solicitor

Childcare Solicitor Birmingham city centre based firm are looking to appoint a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive who specialises in child protection law to join their dynamic and growing childcare team. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for dealing with high profile and challenging cases ensuring children & young people get a good start in life and safeguarding families within the local community. As the newly appointed Childcare Solicitor you will be confident in carrying your own caseload of care proceedings, as well as pre-proceeding matters. You will have strong advocacy experience and will be confident carrying out the following duties: - Handling a full caseload of childcare matters, providing advice on all aspects of public law children matters - Attending PLO and legal planning meetings - Drafting documents, including statements and responses to threshold It is essential you are a Practicing Solicitor with 0-3+ year's PQE together with strong advocacy, negotiating and advisory skills. You will need an enabling, positive approach to finding solutions to complex problems and have good appreciation of risk management. You will also have the ability to work flexibly across a multi skilled team. The firm provides a well-structured Induction Programme, alongside support and guidance from senior management.
