Conveyancing Paralegal, Leeds
Based in Leeds City Centre, an opportunity has arisen to join a top tier team (Chambers UK and Legal 500) who have an enviable reputation in the housing sector acting on multimillion pound transactions. You will be replacing the existing paralegal who has gained a training contract with the firm. The firm employ over 240 employees across its three offices; it is now looking for a paralegal with a conveyancing background to join its newest office based in Leeds City Centre. With a committed focus on providing a full service to its clients, this is an opportunity to become part of a law firm which pride itself on giving high quality, accessible and value for money services to both its domestic and international clients.
Working alongside a Legal 500 Tier 1 partner, you will have the opportunity to utilise your conveyancing background and gain exposure in the real estate finance sector. You will be assisting the partner and 2 solicitors in all aspects of securitisation of social housing properties and developments. This involves;
· Handling a caseload of files to include; identifying titles, obtaining official copy entries and office copy documents from the Land Registry
· Undertaking title checks and other property due diligence; carrying out searches; obtaining items from Local Authorities and other third parties
· Carrying out pre-completion Land Registry Searches and; dealing with post completion matters
· Assisting with the organising, monitoring and delivery of the team's significant transactions
This role is suitable for a conveyancing or property paralegal with a minimum of 6 months experience. It is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is looking to get their foot in the door with a top Legal 500 law firm and gain exposure to the more financial aspect of the property sector. You will be joining a securitisation team, however previous experience in this sector is not necessary.
