An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conveyancing Assistant to join a leading team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full time position.
This regional law firm has a strong presence across the West Midlands region, with 190 staff across 7 offices. The firm prides itself on providing high quality legal services across a range of disciplines.
The Conveyancing Assistant will be joining a thriving and friendly team, taking on a pivotal role in providing efficient support to fee earners. Key elements of the role will involve:
Preparing correspondence using case manage system
Liaising directly with clients face to face and over the phone
Administrative duties including; filing, opening and closing of files and preparing mail and enclosures
Carrying out all post-completions processes including; registering new owners with the Land Registry, serving any notices to landlords, paying stamp duty to HMRC and dealing with requisitions and ledgers
The Ideal Candidate
The firm is looking for a Conveyancing Assistant with:
A minimum of 12 months' experience as a Residential Conveyancing Assistant or Legal Secretary
A high attention to detail and initiative
Excellent time management skills
The ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
On offer to the Conveyancing Assistant:
£18,000 - £22,000 per annum
