Our client a top 6 Leeds firm is looking for a highly skilled commercial litigation solicitor to handle complex and big ticket high quality commercial dispute resolution matters. The firm is top ranked for commercial dispute resolution in Leeds and has a close-knit 3-partner team, which forms part of a far larger dispute resolution practice covering areas such as banking & finance litigation, real estate litigation, regulatory and insolvency litigation. The commercial dispute resolution team handles the full range of pure commercial disputes across a wide range of sectors including oil & gas, automotive, financial and construction, working with sizeable local Yorkshire-based clients as well as bigger national and sometimes global clients. You will work with all 3 partners and gain exposure to the full range of work carried out by the team. You will also work closely with other teams in helping to deliver an effective cross-discipline approach to major clients, encompassing a strategic risk management strategy to help reduce their exposure to litigation, as well as getting involved in cross-border, multi-jurisdictional high value disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic profile and 3-6 years' experience in commercial litigation gained with a commensurate commercial firm, either one of the nationals, a City firm or a strong regional. You will also have an in-depth understanding of the regional and national commercial marketplace and how you can add value to a team through your business development activities.
