Commercial Litigation Solicitor

This solid mid tier regional firm is currently three years into a five year strategic plan around business development, branding, business values, quality of service, restructuring and attracting & retaining the right people, and it's really reaping its rewards. Turnover is up, client retention is up and staff turnover is down. Due to increased work, they are now looking to recruit a commercial litigation solicitor to join the team in central Leeds. The firm's CDR team is based out of its central Leeds office and covers the full spectrum of commercial disputes including contractual disputes, negligence actions, building and construction disputes, professional negligence, restrictive covenant disputes, banking & finance disputes and shareholder & partnership disputes, across a broad range of industry sectors, so the range of work is truly varied and no two days are the same. Their clients range from large national clients right down to sole traders and everything in between. The 8-strong team now has an opening for a commercial litigation solicitor, with around two to four years' PQE across a broad range of commercial disputes. You will have experience of running your own caseload of matters, and be looking for an opportunity to also get involved in more complex matters alongside the partners. You will also either have some experience in, or some appetite for, mentoring or supervising junior members of the team, in order to build up your management experience. The team is growing steadily and the longer term strategy is to recruit further at the more junior end, which will provide room for progression for this recruit, so this is a key hire for the team.
