The Firm A multi award winning national law firm with an enviable reputation are looking to expand their Risk and Compliance Team with the appointment of a Head of Risk and Compliance to their office in Manchester. It also has leading teams advising on private client, commercial services, agriculture, renewable energy and sport. Working with an extensive client base of private sector businesses, sole traders, public sector bodies, high-net-worth individuals and charitable organisations, our client offers advice on almost every aspect of the law. With seven regional offices and over 650 lawyers and support staff, including over 110 partners. The focus for our client is steady, repeatable, year-on-year planned growth. If you are an experienced solicitor looking to head up the firms established risk function then this could be the role for you. The Role This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Solicitor looking to head up the firms risk function. The role is varied and sits within an established risk function which combines Onboarding (AML/Conflicts), Information Security & Data Protection, Risk, Compliance and Best Practice. You will join an established Risk and Compliance team and advise on areas such as Onboarding, ISDP, and Best Practice & Compliance in addition to ensuring the firm's risk strategy is implemented. Reporting to the Director of Risk and Best Practice, you will assume full responsibility for a small risk team comprising of an Associate, a Solicitor and a Project Co-Ordinator. You will provide support and assistance, to the firms Directors on all aspects of Legal compliance including Professional Negligence Claims and Complaints.
