A multi award winning national law firm with an enviable reputation are looking to expand their Risk and Compliance Team with the appointment of a Head of Risk and Compliance to their office in Manchester.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Solicitor looking to head up the firms risk function. The role is varied and sits within an established risk function which combines Onboarding (AML/Conflicts), Information Security & Data Protection, Risk, Compliance and Best Practice. You will join an established Risk and Compliance team and advise on areas such as Onboarding, ISDP, and Best Practice & Compliance in addition to ensuring the firm's risk strategy is implemented.
Reporting to the Director of Risk and Best Practice, you will assume full responsibility for a small risk team comprising of an Associate, a Solicitor and a Project Co-Ordinator. You will provide support and assistance, to the firms Directors on all aspects of Legal compliance including Professional Negligence Claims and Complaints. Audit and Risk, Policies and Procedures together with onboarding.

To be considered for this role you will ideally, have at least 3-5 years previous experience of working in a risk and compliance role within a law firm or in a professional negligence fee earning team.
This is a role that may suit an experienced solicitor who is looking for a career change, looking to move away from fee earning and a client facing role.
